2020 Chinese Language Study Program for Compatriot Youth (Distance Learning)

2020年海外青年華語文研習班(遠距視訊教學)第4梯次

· Learning Information

Organized by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), Taiwan, R.O.C. and co-organized by the Chinese e-Learning Center, National Open University (NOU, Taiwan), the Chinese Language Study Program for Compatriot Youth (Distance Learning) provides overseas youth from all over the world a platform to learn Mandarin Chinese free during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although the world is currently affected by the COVID-19, OCAC hopes that through the online Chinese Language Study Program, students from all over the world will still have the opportunity to keep learning Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese culture despite the time difference and distance. Through the rich curriculums, students will also have a chance to know the culture and the stories in Taiwan.

The co-organizing Chinese e-Learning Center of National Open University, established in 2017 and supported by NOU’s extensive experiences and expertise in digital instruction, distance learning and media production, offers this quality program with professional and experienced teachers and assistants to facilitate learning throughout the course, including technological or language issues.

The 6-week program, from November 16 to December 25 2020, contains a 36-hour synchronous online Chinese language course and subject-based learning lectures such as singing, microfilming (voice acting), and Taiwanese storytelling.

The registration is now open for the FREE program, fully covered by OCAC, until October 30 2020 for the interested overseas youth between 12-24 of age. Please send the application form via post, email, or hand in the form at the nearest overseas units or education service centers.
